A Tragedian’s Mask

Let’s laugh to not cry,
Waste more time–for you not I.
Shall we bathe in each other’s lies,
Façades that grow with every smile– wink – grin – tear.

For in the foreground I long,
For truth to be held like a glowing light,
Each cut – scratch – mark.
Surpresses the inner turmoil of an abandoned ship,
That sunk in the past, present, future.

I smile and wave, repeat
The game in which neither of us participate in.
Another glance, one more tear
And I fear that my act will be revealed.
