On the upcoming Friday I am going back home. Even as I write this I can feel myself getting excited at the thought of seeing my friends and family again. I haven’t been back home yet since moving to Nottingham, so I do really miss everyone.
It’s going to be strange being back in my old room, and living in my old town for a week, especially as I’ve grown so used to Nottingham and my life here. It’s going to be odd not seeing my University friends for an entire week, I will definitely miss them. Nevertheless, I can’t wait to surprise my brother and sister at the train station, and see the look on their faces (they both think that the next time they see me will be Christmas).
The only part of my visit that I’m not looking forward to is having to go back to Nottingham, as I fear that I will miss everyone even more if I spend a week with them. I almost hope that I don’t get too used to being back home.
Another thing I’m looking forward to is seeing my best friend in December (she’s coming over to Nottingham for a day before I go back to stay with her in Lincoln for the weekend). I haven’t seen her since August, so I can’t wait to introduce her to some of the friends I’ve made at University and show her around Nottingham.

P.S, Christmas is soon…
